Galaxy Tab is clearly a viable iPad competitor. The Tab comes pre-loaded with quite a lot of application, but I have found 10 apps that I believe should be there on every single Galaxy Tab.
1. WSJ - The Wall Street app is the best app for the Tab so far. It makes full use of the 7-inch screen to present the paper in a very different way that it does on the phone.
2. NY Times - If you are not a fan of WSJ, you should try NYTimes app. However, it just looks like the NT Times' phone app and does not make the best use of all those extra pixels.
3. Asphalt 5 - Gameloft has done an awesome job with this game. It makes full use of the WSVGA display and offers immersive gaming experience.
4. Opera Mobile - This app runs like charm and looks great on the Tab. It is a good alternative to the bundled web-browser.
5. Slacker Radio - After using this app for a while, you will feel that Galaxy Tab is definitely designed for this device.
6. Financial Times (FT) - The content provided by Financial Times is fine, but the app looks like an old WAP site.
7. SparkChess - It is one of the few games that actually look good on the 7-inch display of tablet.
8. Qik - Want video calling on your Tab? Install this!
9. Angry Birds - Many call this the "game of the century" and they are not wrong. It truly looks wonderful on the Tab.
10. Kindle for Android - This app gives you access to more than 620,000 Kindle books on your device.
