Ubuntu is possibly one of the most popular operating systems for people starting off with Linux, and for a good reason, ease of use. Installing and using Ubuntu is simple, and is sure to break anyone's misconceptions of how difficult it is to install Linux.
Ubuntu is a light operating system and performs well even in on Netbook making it ideal for Netbooks with lower configurations. It is available is a special netbook remix version which comes as a pen drive image instead of a CD image, since Netbooks often dont have disk drives. It is available on the ubuntu website, and can be download for free and loaded onto a pendrive of 1GB or more.

In Ubuntu, which is the counterpart of Adobe Acrobat to highlight text?
I have read many books of all electronic days. I just want to know the BEST counterpart or equivalent of Adobe Acrobat Reader / Writer in Ubuntu. I know that Ubuntu has a default PDF viewer installed with the OS cd but it's PDF viewer is not able to highlight words or phrases in a PDF ebook. I want a PDF reader who let me UBUNTU to highlight text and phrases on Ebook. PDF. Please give me suggestions for my needs. Thank you. =)
