What is a secure website that I can purchase and download EBooks for my daughter?
Hello. I purchased a Sony eReader pocket edition for my 10 yr old daughter for Christmas. She loves to read, and I know she will absolutely love this. I am needing to know if anyone knows a good, secure website that I can purchase and download books for her age group to put on her eReader? I am trying to get this done by today, tomorrow at the latest, so that I will have it ready come Christmas morning. Thanks so much!

You will actually have to download this software as part of your set-up of the Pocket Reader.
That is the software you will need to run your daughter's Pocket Reader. That is also the bookstore from Sony. They have a large selection of children's and young adult books and you know the download process will be secure and easy because this is the store your Reader was designed for.
You won't be able to buy ANY ebooks through the Amazon site, they are designed for Kindle and that uses another format. Also be cause of licensing you can't buy from the Nook store.
You can, however, use the Library Finder link in the Sony Reader store to borrow books from the public library and access Google Books for free classics.
There are lots of independent e-book stores on the web, just make sure you purchase in epub or PDF format.
I would suggest you start with purchasing through Sony--at least until you get used to the process of purchasing and downloading the books into her Reader.
