Kindle Amazon - Rediscovering the pleasure of reading

After many months wondering if purchasing a kindle was a good idea, I finally made the plunge and purchased one just before a 3-week long vacation. I hastily downloaded books that I had meant to read for awhile. First wonderful surprise was the choice of French novels in French that I downloaded for about $1 a piece. I also purchased other books including "Hot, Flat and Crowded" that I had read before but wanted to read again and take notes for a class I am teaching on Environmental Ethics.
All books came within the advertized 60 seconds. The second surprise was to be able without any difficulty to read under full sun. I was also amazed by the long lasting battery which only required a reloading once a week during the 3 weeks despite intensive reading. Please note that I never left the battery go below 75% of its full capacity (I was not very confident that the battery was actually still almost full!) The size of the Kindle was perfect for the ever shrinking economy class airplane, but the light in the plane was not sufficient and I had to use another "Kindle Amazon" light I had also purchased. The ability to turn the wireless feature on and off was a wonderful "airplane advantage." The note taking was very easy and very enjoyable to read through independently of the book itself.
I also ordered a book sample and could not wait to be back in the US to purchase the full copy. The wireless feature did not function in Europe. I was happy that I had purchased so many books before leaving.
The cover I purchased at the same time was not very good. The mechanism to hook up the Kindle Amazon is weak and faulted many times.
Kindle Amazon - I was skeptical - not any more!

Ever since the original Kindle Amazon came out, I questioned why I would need one of these. I wasn't a big reader (now I understand why) and I just couldn't figure out how this could help me. When the price dropped on the Kindle Amazon, I decided to check it out. From the moment I took it off the charger, I was hooked. I started reading a book, and just as everyone has said - the reader disappeared in my hand as if I were reading a bound paper book.
However, my hand never cramped from holding it, I didn't have to keep readjusting my position as I flipped pages, and I didn't have to keep manipulating a book light if I read in a dark room. The Kindle Amazon has brought me back into the world of reading and I'm really glad I've taken the plunge. The screen is clear and "pages" refresh quickly - there isn't much more I can say than others already have - the Kindle Amazon is, in short, amazing.

Why are NFL owners making impulsive decisions today (see details)?
first off, the Jaguars selected Tyson Alaulu with the 10th pick. Alualu was a projected late 1st to early 2nd round draft choice; the Jaguars could have traded down about 15 spots and still gotten him.
Secondly, why did the Chargers trade all the way up to the 12th pick to get Matthews? Matthews would have easily fell on their lap at the 28th pick.
Lastly, the Eagles move up to get Brandon Graham which made me scratch my head. The Eagles could have stayed at their original spot and still gotten Graham. If not him, then definetly someone of his caliber like Everson Griffin or Sergio Kindle.
Im sure they all have their reasons which makes it ok for them to do what they do. I do agree to an extent with you though. Puzzling.
