Barnes
Amazon Kindle eReader has been the leader, at least in the U.S. market eReader since the introduction of a Kindle in 2007. Sony occupied the second place with 30-35% of the market.
But now there is a new kid on the block. In October '09 Barnes & Noble announced its eReader corner that sold on pre-order in a few weeks.
The area is mainly revolutionary in his eyes. It will be difficult for your average gadget child / daughter to see one and not develop a serious need. But that means that the corner is the best thing since the printing press for bookish boys and girls?
Look and compare some of the characteristics of the corner and eReaders Kindle.
For the most part play on the corner of e-ink display is very similar to reading on the screen Kindle eReader e-ink. EReaders Both use the same or very similar playback screen.
This is radically different, and that in fact, attracts many people to the ereader Nook is the touch screen LCD screen as small e-ink. On the Kindle, the Navigation is done using the keyboard and five-way controller chicklet. Orders for the corner are mostly accessible by using the screen touchscreen LCD.
Corner touchscreen is also used for browsing books in your library or to select books to purchase Barnes & Noble on the wireless connection. A virtual keyboard is available on the LCD screen for typing.
The color of the corner of the screen LCD looks really nice and seems to be a very desirable feature, but there are problems with the implementation of software, which we have a little.
Connectivity
The Kindle eReader has a 3G wireless network by AT & T for the Global Fund for the Kindle, and Sprint for the Kindle 2. Amazon calls its wireless "Whispernet". Use Whispernet, you can generally buy and download a book in one minute or less. You also use the browser a little clumsy, but functional for Internet access, e-mail, search for your reading on Wikipedia, even access another online ebook store to Amazon to buy and download books, etc. With Kindle world, you also have access to the Kindle store in many countries other than the United States, if you have to pay extra to download a book about the Whispernet outside the United States.
The eReader corner has both WiFi and AT & T 3G wireless connection. The difference is that the connection can be used Nook for purchase and download books from Barnes & Noble. No internet, no encyclopedia, you can not use it to connect to another store and online ebook buy books.
The WiFi Nook will be useful if you carry your eReader corner in a B & N as it will download coupons and offers special to your eReader. You can also use WiFi to browse ebooks while in a B & N, but you can read each book for a period maximum of one hour in a period of 24 hours. These features in-store are not yet fully implemented so that we do not yet know their usefulness will show up.
Sharing
One characteristic of ereader Nook has received extensive media coverage is the ability lend your eBooks to friends. Unfortunately, this feature is not as great as first thought. On the one hand, publishers must opt to leave their books will be loaned. Some have said they will not allow it. There are also restrictions: you can loan a particular book again, and only for 14 days. If a book is lent, you can not access it on your own corner.
The Kindle is not currently allow this type of loan. However, you can share ebooks with a maximum of 6 (it can vary by title) switches that are registered in the same account. It works well for multi-family Kindle. It is even possible to set up a reading club with your friends Kindle owner, if you feel at ease a unique credit card to save your Kindle eReaders.
Other features
An interesting feature that eReader corner has a stack by the user. The Kindle's battery is wired in and should therefore be returned to Amazon for replacement ($ 60). Amazon says that, even after 500 charges (a decade), these batteries will still hold 80% charge, then it can not be a problem for most people.
The area also accepts an SD card for extra storage. The Kindle has only its internal storage, but is enough to hold about 1500 pounds, so it may also not be a problem for you.
A typical corner that has not received any official Barnes & Noble is accused of the opportunity to borrow eBooks from your local library if they use utilities Digital Overdrive. To do this, you need to install Adobe Digital Editions on your computer and use it to sideload the ebook on your corner. You can borrow a library book for 14 days, after which it will be automatically deleted. You can not renew funds eBook Library. To know how useful this feature will be in your case, you should check your local library website. Most libraries have a large catalog of electronic books for the time. Kindle is not compatible with the library to borrow ebooks now
The eBook Store
No matter how attractive equipment, the principal goal is to read eReader books. Since eReaders today tend to be tied to proprietary formats DRM for the current titles, you want to make sure that whatever you choose is supported by the local Best ebook (s).
The corner of the primary supplier ebook ebooks for DRM'ed will obviously Barnes & Noble. You can also buy ebooks DRM'ed with other online vendors who are support Adobe Digital Editions. The area is also compatible with non DRM'ed EPUB format and PDF.
With Kindle, you buy most if not all your securities DRM'ed Shop Amazon Kindle. Kindle also uses some other format ebooks that these non-DRM'ed MOBI and PDF. ebooks public domain are also available eReaders for the Kindle. I think at some point Amazon will also allow compatibility EPUB for the Kindle, because it is increasing pressure for it.
Many people decry the Kindle be enclosed in store for Amazon ebook ebooks DRM'ed. While this may be true in a large extent, the fact is that the Kindle store more songs available at B & N and all online stores selling format ebooks ADE meeting. In most If the price Amazon are less so, although Barnes & Noble has tried to meet their price.
If you primarily read books on the current bestseller lists you'll probably be able to find these available in most sizes at similar prices. The more off the beaten track your reading But more likely you are to find what you're looking to shop Kindle.
So what is the best eReader - Kindle or corner?
If ereader corner had not been rushed to the market to make the stay of the 2009 season, and if Barnes & Noble had waited until they have the software ready and prepared bugs, then I would say that the corner would have been a very close second choice and perhaps even equal to the Kindle.
In fact, the corner now is paralyzed by its software to remove a defective version and save B & N is a stable, timely the corner will be leapfrogged by the next version of Kindle. Barnes & Noble said they are working day and night to update the software and solving problems current wedge, and to their credit, they have released some updates to this writing. However, there are still many bugs and corner slower than the Kindle, which be embarrassing when you try to immerse yourself in this next great book. In its current state of the LCD screen does not play well with the e-ink screen and can be very frustrating to use.
In addition, I prefer the Kindle store. My love of reading can be different from yours, however, I suggest you make a list of books you read and want to compare prices and availability between the Kindle Store and B & N offerings. ebook higher price can add quickly.
The Kindle's ability to connect to the Internet and Wikipedia, etc. is also not to be underestimated.
I think that the eReader corner has the potential to be a great eReader and perhaps even the Kindle, but it is something of a gamble to buy one now and wait to see if Barnes & Noble can get all the defects fixed in time and also correspond to the Kindle store offers.

Nook Kindle vs. 2 vs. Sony eBook?
I think to make the leap into digital music player. I really like the B & N because they Nook a new feature where you can loan books from Nook for 14 days at a time. I can read a copy of a friend or vice versa, and it moves from reader to another, and back. But the Kindle 2 is bigger, lighter and seems to have a larger following. I admit knowing bupkus on the Sony e-reader. All suggestions or comments? Try to answer only if you have one of these things because I can already do stupid things until I have not.
You need to read the small print on the loan feature. Its only once per book and its more than about 30% of new versions since it depends on the editor to give the green light. I share all my books with my husband on our lights, but we also share an account (and thus a credit card). Just something to keep in mind though. The Sony Reader is a device * * great, but their library is really expensive and not as large as B & N and Amazon, which explains why fewer people go with. I do Kindle and I can tell you its been a joy since day one. I can tell you that I took it out packaging and read within 20 minutes (if). It is easy and intuitive to use and the time that I had to call customer service due to small problem, they spent the night me and gave me a new print out to send the old back. Could not ask for more. Most books I want are available and those that are not available form are not e-book or anywhere else. The K2 is a bigger following because really a way they deserve. Sony was first out, but they have not quite right. B & N came out with the meal, but they had so problems with the deployment of trying to get the camera before Christmas really turned into a fiasco and led people. Just my observations.
