Plumbing Cap Stylophone: Music & Construction Photos

should I get a nook, kindle, or sony e reader ?
I am considering buying an e-reader, and was wondering which to get. I would like to get one of the sony pocket editions, but its online library seems somewhat limited. Can you download books from amazon or barnes and noble onto a Sony? Also, I would like to know if the pocket editions come with the stylus, and/or the expansion slot for a micro SD card. I would also like a little feed back as to which is better: the kindle ($139), Nook ($149), or the Sony ($179)
Contrary to the other answer, the $139 Kindle does not have 3G, only wi-fi. I have the new Kindle and while Amazon often does have the largest variety of e-books at sometimes lower prices, the Kindle hardware gets poorer in quality with each new generation. I don't have a Nook but I've used one that belongs to a friend of mine and it's often non-responsive. It also does not have a collections feature for organization and it doesn't have landscape mode; both of which were deal breakers for me. I have the Sony PRS-900 and I just bought the PRS-350 for my dad. I also had the first Sony Reader for almost five years and I can tell you that the Sony hardware quality is the best of the three big names in readers. The PRS-350 doesn't have the memory card slots though. If you're just looking for a reader to read on, the PRS-350 holds about 1200 e-books so you don't really need a card slot. If you want to have music, audio-books and/or photos on a memory card, the PRS-650 and the 950 have the slots but they aren't micro SDs. They have an SD slot plus a slot for memory stick pro duo. All three of the Sony Readers come with the stylus that's in a little slot so it's not going to get lost, but you can also use your finger or the virtual keyboard on the touch screen. If it all comes down to price, keep an eye out for deals from SonyStyle.com and Borders Books. When I got my dad's Reader at Borders, I got the $50 lighted cover free plus ten dollars back in Borders Bucks. SonyStyle sometimes has the Readers with two free $25 e-book gift cards. Right now SonyStyle will give $75 off a new Reader with trade-in of any brand reader. The Sony e-bookstore is not the only source for ePub format e-books. You can also buy from Kobo, Books On Board, Borders, many of which have frequent e-mail coupons or rewards, something that doesn't happen with Amazon. Plus the Sony can read borrowed library e-books, another big thing that the Kindle cannot do and probably never will. If you borrow e-books instead of buying them, the Reader will pay for itself in no time. Go to Overdrive.com and enter your zip code to find a consortium in your locale.
