Nook custom bookshelf with cover flow
Any tips on getting rid of an unwanted flock of house finches?
I rigged up a hydroponic tomato garden on the patio. The shallow running water and ready food supply has attracted a flock of eight finches. I figured scaring them off a few times would be enough to keep them from returning, but they do not seem to have any fear of people. They have started building nests in the patio roof. I have dislodged these partially constructed nests with a hose three times now, but they will not give up on building here.
My goal is to make them decide to find an easier spot to nest without harming them, and I'd like a less troublesome solution than covering every nook with chicken wire. Any suggestions?
