Its one of those new "tryout" comics. Neither me or my aunt understands it.
In Case you can't read the text in the picture --
Robot: Thanks For Reattatching My Head. Want a Vaguely Skeevy Hug?
Girl: Not so fast. There is the matter of your firstborn. Lucky for you, I'll swap fries for a baked potato.
Text: Meanwhile, in a warm nook near a radiator....
Cat: Mew?
I can't make heads or tails of it.
No, I read today's comic and its not continued.
Well, we can break it down... Skeevy is slang for disgusting or dirty. So we can assume the robot is a bit of a perv.
The firstborn bit, is an old saying. Think Rumpelstiltskin. Meaning she is owed big time for her help.
Swapping fries for a baked potato is something common in most sit-down restaurants. If there is something on the menu you don't want, alot of places will let you trade another side.
The kitten is just a cute filler and gives a great juxtaposition for the previous scene.
So mostly, I believe the strip is saying that the robot owes her big, but because of his lecherous ways, she'd rather just forget the whole thing. (or maybe that she will take the cat instead?)
But because of not knowing the characters, I could be way off base. Having a steady background of the cartoonist's characters and how they act would make it alot easier.
