Help with my nook WiFi & 3G?
I bought a book from the Barnes&Noble website, and transferred it to my nook via the USB cable. When I go to open the book on my nook it says to enter my name and credit card number, so I do, but it says failed. If you could help I'd be so thankful 
Hi, xxashilynnxx, first of all, you cannot do anything untill you register your Nook to your B&N account and you can only register it through Wi-Fi (if you got Wi-Fi-only Nook), cannot do it through your PC.
The easiest to start with any free Wi-Fi spots that do not need password or any other manual intervention. You should be able to register from any Barnes & Noble store that provides free Wi-Fi to Nook's or any Starbucks or any McDonalds or airport or any other place that provides free Wi-Fi service. If you have an existing BN.com account, be sure you have a default credit card and billing information saved in your account. Sign-in to your account to manage your Credit Card.
NOOK Set-Up Steps
1. Charge your new NOOK 3G or NOOK Wi-Fi for 3-hours from a wall outlet using the Power Adapter and USB Cable packed at the bottom of your NOOK box.
2. Turn on your NOOK by pressing the power button at the top.
3. Connect to Wi-Fi. Connect automatically and for free at any Barnes & Noble bookstore, all AT&T hotspots or use your home Wi-Fi.
4. NOOK 3G owners may also check for 3G wireless connectivity.
5. Register your device by entering your BN.com account email.
6. Tap the down arrow button in the lower right corner of your color touchscreen.
7. Enter your BN.com password.
8. Tap Submit
9. Read the Tour offered on your NOOK to learn more
eBooks that you previously purchased from BN.com are automatically delivered to your online digital library a short time after you register your NOOK. The 5 most recently purchased eBooks that were purchased within the last 30 days prior to registering your NOOK are also delivered to your NOOK. You can download the others to your NOOK or just leave them in your online digital library. Other eBooks purchased from BN.com are not automatically downloaded to your NOOK. You can download them manually from My B&N Library, or just leave them in the online digital library. They will be there to download in the future.
After you're done with that, then you can move on to transferring ebooks to Nook through your PC.
After you downloaded book to your PC do this:
1. plug the Nook to your pc with the usb cable.
2. add the books to the "my documents" folder in your Nook.
3. unplug your Nook from pc.
4. go to "my library" in your Nook -> "view my documents", check for new content.
5. the ebooks you've added should pop up.
