Nook for sale [SOLD] And How To Use your Nook
My motherboard is making an alarm sound!?
My ASUS mobo is making a low volume but shrill alarm sound. It happens as soon as I hit the power button and nothing happens beyond the alarm - no boot, no bios, no nothing - except the CPU fan goes into extra high RPM's. It's crazy. I've blown out every nook and cranny with compressed air, removed every accessory card, disconnected all the drives, and it still alarms. Any ideas before I junk the mobo?
most likely a power connector is not properly installed. These days you need the regular 20-pin connector and the 4-pin power connector near the CPU (12 V). Also check that all cables are properly connected and that the fan is connected to the right fan header.
