How self-publishers around the British needed "Contract" the requirement for the Amazon Kindle?
The Amazon Kindle, it is necessary for self-publishers in the United Kingdom to obtain an ITIN number on a form W7 - part of the proof is evidence Publisher / Agent (In this case, Amazon) that the ITIN is needed. Definitely check what I write here just to be sure. Here at the ITIN States stands for "Individual Taxpayer Identification Number." If people have to pay for the book you wrote, then that is a source of income for you, so you have to pay taxes to the government. Because you are self-published/self-employed you need to do your own taxes. The ITIN number will be needed to complete tax forms. It is how they identify you and your book as a legitimate business that pay taxes. United States, you simply go to the website of the government itself (IRS), print the form and send it then I do not think Amazon can give you a ITIN number.
