Looking for info on e book readers?
I have no clue about them but im interested in one.What i do have is a desktop computer (no wireless router, obviously) so how do i get the books? Do i have to buy a wireless router or can i buy some wire and hook it into my internet modem? I have no clue how any of it works. Also how do i purchase the books, are there specific sites for specific e-readers? (such as kindle, do u have to buy books from amazon?)
Some eReaders come with 3G, so no wireless router needed. For the Kindle, you need to buy from Amazon. I'm not sure, but I believe all the other eReaders can get books from multiple sources. I do not believe the Nook for example must get books from B&N. I think it can read Borders books too. Just not Kindle books.
I have a Kindle 3G version. Books can be bought from the Amazon site, or directly on the Kindle browsing the Kindle store.
