Will my generation 1 Kindle connect to Whispernet in the UK?
I don't see why it wouldn't, but I have 0 bars of signal, this includes in multiple locations, both inside and outside. My area (Sheffield) is marked as receiving 3G service on the wireless coverage map. My wireless switch is turned [ON].
So I thought I would pose this question to other Kindle 1 owners in the UK - am I supposed to be able to connect?
Kindle 1 was only sold in the US.
It was only designed to work within the US.
They work on different frequencies and in different ways to the rest of the worlds mobile networks.
which is why Kindle 2 came in two version the US one, and the non-US/international one.
