kindle vs reader
Amazon's Kindle vs Sony Reader
Amazon Kindle vs. Barnes & Noble Nook vs. Sony e-reader?
What are your views on these three e-readers? I want to know the books availiblity free books you can buy, usability, and anyother information you'd like to share. I am not very tech Savy, so it can be anything you'd like Factor Thank you!
I think they are all pretty good products, it depends on what you need, really. All three should have access to free public domain books, but free content varies from store to store. Kindle2 - has web browser (limited). Support for Word documents with the conversion, but does not support ePub format, which is the format ebook most shops to other uses - Amazon uses a proprietary format (although if you pdf ebooks, those who work). Amazon has also deleted the books purchased without warning and after trial have said they do not remove the purchased content like that - but they recently removed samples of their people when they had a Kindle disagree with Macmillan, which has not been really cool. second generation, it has some folds developed. Many books available on Amazon. 3G uses to access the Internet. Overall, a solid player. Has a keypad and down to take notes. Can synthesize speech. Sony Touch - Screen has glare problems due to the superposition of touch screen, and the contrast is weaker than people say it is not as readable. (Their non-readers did not touch the problem of the screens and very clear) You can use a stylus to take notes hands, I hear works pretty well. 've Heard their ebook store is not the greatest, but they are the only reader ebooks loans in support libraries, which is cool, and they support a variety of formats. Costs $ 300, which is $ 40 more than either the Kindle or two meals. No access Internet, which means that all books must be sideloaded. This is a keyboard. If you just want something very simple, it is also the Sony Pocket Reader, which is a slightly smaller screen and fewer features because I think $ 200. Nook - the newest of the 3, so it is difficult to say much yet. Has a touch screen color on the bottom instead of buttons clickable. Uses 3G and WiFi, do not have a browser, but may have applications available in the future for different things. Battery life is somewhat shorter than the Kindle and it is also a little heavier. BN was improving their ebook store to compete with Amazon, we'll see how it goes. The Nook supports ePub format, so you can buy books in other places that use this format quite easily, but not directly from your corner - would need to sideload via USB. A expandable memory and a replaceable battery. You are also supposed to get benefits if you use your meal in a BN store, but I'm not sure what they are. You can also Try it first hand in your local Barnes and Noble (which I recommend, if you did not use an eReader in person yet, just to get an idea. You can also see if an electronics store like Best Buy has all the Sony Reader screen).
