Long trip to the Bahamas, always end up wrapping! Need advice?
Travel packing lists possible? I spent a day Washington DC, then I will fly to the Bahamas for a week. I always end up packing, so he filled all the way up, and so that I can not get new clothes in my suitcase back. All travel and packing suggestions when it comes to packing for a long trip? Any ideas on how most airlines charge for baggage? Weight? or simply by the number of bags? How carry on items are you allowed to? I intend to take a medium sized duffel bag on the airplane that will provide a few more days, just to be sure if my baggage is delayed or lost or stolen, or something horrible happened. I'll put in the bag, some good books and the Kindle, and various other stuff? * What types of things you love to bring on the plane with you to enjoy your flight with? * Your labtop (inside case) considered another go?
First off, do not take as many clothes with you. Take 4 or 5 pairs of shorts and shirts. If you go to Nassau, you can purchase T-so cheap that you'd better buy the shirt. I'm sure this will be true on other islands as well. Take capris or a pair of jeans for a night out. Bahama islands are very casual so you will not need to dress up unless you plan to go to a nice restaurant or club has a club dress. Take your old underwear and if they are on their last stage, before throwing them to return home. For better packaging, roll your clothes. I always do this and it saves space and if you ask them, press wrinkles with your hands and roll, wrinkles press with your hands, roll until a bun and packaging. Also, take a bottle of Downy Wrinkle it works out very well. If you wear your bulkiest shoes, giving more room in your suitcase or duffel. Think about how your pack and normally just cut down. I would say a swimsuit, but do not take beach towels. Make sure you pack a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 45 years. As you go on vacation, jewely at home, except for your watch and other things that you always wear. You do not need much Jewellery and you can buy if you choose. Be sure to pack at least one pair of flip flops as I'm sure you want to wear lots. You'll need socks if you wear tennis shoes. Perhaps 4 pairs and roll them, too. Regarding your questions about the airlines - contact the airline website and see what their guidelines. I suggest you try to get by with a carry on and not check a bag. This makes it much easier, just enter your bag and go, no waiting in lines to retrieve luggage. Unless your computer is in your travel bag, it will be considered as wear.
