How do you remove the 3 light pictures screensaver?
I know there are many forums to discuss the changing image saver screen, but is there a simple way to just delete them? They are pretentious and it makes you feel like one of those guys who brings a laptop to Starbucks and everyone can see him write his novel. Thx
Plug one end of the USB cable into the Kindle and the other end in a free USB port on a PC or laptop. Let the recording device on the computer. 2 Right-click the Windows Start button and select "Explore" from the popup menu. Windows Explorer opens. 3 Scroll to the Kindle and click on the name the device. Folders on the Kindle will be listed in the file explorer. 4 Double-click the folder named "system" on the device Kindle. If the folder is not visible, set the preferences folder in Windows Explorer "Show hidden files". For this so, click Tools on the top navigation menu, then select "Folder Options ..." Make changes, then save and exit menu. 5 Double-click the folder named "screen_saver" in the "system" directory. 6 Delete the files in the folder screen_saver. 7 Click the "X" in the upper right corner of the window to close Windows Explorer. 8 Remove the Kindle device by clicking the icon Disassemble in the system tray. 9 Remove the USB cable from Kindle. The custom screen saver files have been deleted from the Kindle.
