Teen book recommendations?
The name is fairly self explanatory. I'm 15 and usually am answered with vampire romance fiction. Some of it may be good but the whole genre seems cliche at the moment. As for what I do like, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is my favorite series at the moment. I have fairly dark tastes, and received a kindle for christmas. Any ideas?
The Darkest Powers Series by Kelley Armstrong
Its about a few teenagers, a fifteen year old named Chloe is the main character and its told from her point of view, and its about them and how they are supernaturals, some of them just coming into their powers. There are Werewolves, Necromancers, Witches, Warlocks, Poltergeists. The titles are The Summoning, The Awakening, and The Reckoning.
The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini
This Series is set in a totally different world, but its kind of midevil, like there's no electricity or guns or cars. Its main focus is about a farm boy who becomes one of the last Dragon Riders without knowing what that even means. The Series contains Humans, Elves, Dwarfs, Dragons, Spell casters, and lots of Magic. The titles are Eragon, Eldest, Brisngr, and Book 4 (untitled). There are four books in the series.
The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel Series by Michael Scott
Its about A pair of twins in modern day, named Josh and Sophie. They come upon Nicholas Flamel (Someone from the 1700's who was rumored to have the secret to immortal life) and have to help him and end up having powers they never knew they had and might be the worlds last hope. Almost all of the characters are characters or gods from mythology or prominent characters in history. Its a six book series only the first four out, they are titled The Alchemyst, The Magician, The Sorceress, The Necromancer, And the fifth and sixth are The Warlock (May 2011) and The Enchantress (May 2012)
