What is the best, the Kindle or Sony Reader?
I'm trying to decide to buy, the Kindle or Sony Reader. I heard good things and bad at once. I just want to hear some pros and cons of each, without being too complicated.
Kindle is cheaper - even with 3G. It is limited to the formats used by Kindle only, and you can not borrow books from a library with it. Sony Reader Daily is more expensive, also 3G and has a bigger screen. Shop Sony Reader has fewer books available, but you can easily buy in bookstores other because it uses a format more common, which means you can borrow from public libraries. I use an older Sony player, but without access thread and I love it. I have colleagues who use Kindle and Nook and they love them so. Go to a Best Buy store and feel everyone in your hands to help decide what is good for you, and check the manufacturer's website to see what features each has and what you can / can not live without.
