The news arrived yesterday that by 2010 the internet is going to slow down in speed because of the sheer volume of use was very interesting to me. The dire prediction by some analysts state the increase in video-intensive services could slow broadband down to the old days of dial-up.
I believe with the technology we have at our fingertips, this problem will undoubtedly be solved by someone. The cable companies and phone companies will have to invest billions of dollars to keep up with the demand and avoid the slowdown. The increase in transmission of music, videos and photos will contribute to the massive traffic. Apparently, the estimate monthly for one video service today is 27 petabytes which is 27 million gigabytes a month. That is the first time I have heard of a petabyte.The ebooks were not mentioned in the predictions. Ebooks download is a relatively small part of the book market today. The increased availability of ebooks is something I have written about before in other articles. As eBook downloading becomes more popular, this will certainly contribute to the increase web traffic that is being predicted.
The eBook reader is a relatively unpopular device compared to the storage devices available for music downloads. A problem with buying ebooks in volume is where you store them and how can you access them conveniently.
So one of the big companies announced yesterday that a new eBook named the Kindle is now available. You now don't need a PC to download ebooks anymore. Will Kindle play the audio of an mp4 file?
I wanna download music into my Kindle. I downloaded all mp3 files but then there's this song that actually in a music video so it's an mp4 file. I tried to separate the audio from the video but couldn't do it. So if I download an mp4 file into my Kindle will it play the audio at least or will it completely reject it?
I think your format mp3 file is not right, you can convert your separating file to mp3 again.
