Kindle third generation help?
I bought a 3rd generation Kindle and I'm loving. However .... my sister was able to access Facebook on it ... and it froze. I turned in on and off and it started working again. But now when I read books, the web address is in the way of the text and it will not disappear. Help? Is this a common problem with a solution Single or should I call Amazon? O_o
I do not think it's a common problem but I do remember reading on the forum users that someone had a similar experience after having to google. The first thing to do is restart. Slide and hold the power button for 30 seconds and release. Then just be patient because it will take several minutes to re-index the files and collections before it goes back to the screen Home. If it does not resolve, call 1-866-321-8851 in the Kindle CS. They can restart it again and / or push a firmware update day. In the meantime, know that there is a reason the browser is the "Experimental" menu. It is simply not capable of being a full web browser and some sites containing video, for example, are simply not working well because the device or its firmware supports the types of functions.
