The Kindle and Sony are about the same weight. Both are around 10 ounces I love my Kindle 2 much. Between the Kindle and Sony Reader, I suggest you go for the Kindle, instead of Sony. The Kindle is better because it has free wireless and text to speech function. There are more books than you can find electronic books available for Kindle, and the Kindle is a lot cheaper too.
