I purchased the iPod touch 32GB 3rd Generation for a friend for Christmas. Since I had no prior knowledge of the iPod Touch, I was so pleased that when my friend opened his gift and I saw the look in his eyes, I knew I had made an excellent gift selection. The iPod touch 32GB exactly performs the many applications as described.
It is very attractive to look at, and the screen size is great. First thing he did after charging, and getting all registered, was to download the Kindle application for reading his e-books and it syncs with his Kindle2 perfectly, and it only took a few minutes to set this up. He has also downloaded several other applications and even has e-mail set-up and sends me messages so I know that is working too.
I don't know what else I can really tell you about the iPod Touch other than it is definitely a great product, and now the only thing that I'm sorry about is that I haven't ordered one for myself (but, I'm planning on that real soon). I'm so impressed and know that you won't be unhappy if you get yourself an iPod Touch. I was careful in my research about where to order from regarding price, etc., and of course, Amazon has and continues to have the best price. And, I give Amazon a 5-star for their excellent customer service, too!

iPod touch 32GB - My new favorite toy
My iPod touch 32GB is my new favorite toy! I love how portable it is and how easy it is to use! So glad I bought one. The sound quality is great with earphones, but not so great without. Its pretty intuitive to use, but I was slightly annoyed that it did not come with an instruction manual. You can look at one online, but I would have liked one to come with.

Ipod touch, Ipad or kindle?
My hubby is going to get a surprise with the tax return...I just don't know which one is better...the touch, the new ipad or the new kindle? Any opinions?
If he really truly loves reading novel type books I would get him a kindle. The joy of the kindle really is that it uses e-ink. It doesn't, nor should it, have other flares. It just does what its meant to do cheaply and well.
If he'd like something that does music, videos, and the occassional book go with the iTouch or iPad. Now which you get there is up to you on whether you think he'd like something small he can take with him on a day to day basis easily or something larger, but that would be easier to watch things on I suppose.
