Just now starting to use 2 wood needs more familiar chain saw and the best species of wood for the fireplace small? ?
I would use an ax and saw .., since I am a rather tall and sturdy type of feller! It would allow me the luxury of cutting wood on land that may well be otherwise prohibited ... haw, haw no string racket, you know, I'm serious, I need advice on this gum or pine NO soft or what? Green wood or dry? Charcoal / starter logs as good kindling or diesel fuel?
Saw amount is the best ...... and the timber is opened ....... depends on where you live ....... Dry alder, maple dry Madrona (split when wet and dry), Douglas fir (dry) anywood after that is dry. Green wood unless you're hot fire will leave a large number of chimney sweeping. It is the greatest heat in the world ....... ........ for more heat unless you can get imported sun:) The only thing I do not like the junk you bring home. Spiders, insects, dirt ...... all these little things. But enjoy the heat, it is great ...... and if you can see the flames, good:)
