does the Kindle reader with GPS works well in the Philippines?
I'm sorry, but the Kindle does not have GPS. You can access Google map with the Kindle for free if you're in the U.S., but not in other countries outside the U.S., I think ... You can click on the link Live outside the U.S.? " on the right side of the page and choose your country to see how the web browsing on the Kindle is supported in your Country: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003FSUDM4?ie=UTF8&tag=elec-m-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN = B003FSUDM4 BTW, Amazon has just released a new Kindle and it is much better. I gave a detailed comparison between meals and the new Kindle, in another response here (I also mentioned the case to get free books in response). I guess you'll find interest: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100729065719AAVViO6 And if you get the Kindle, my advice to you is to place the order as soon as possible to ensure that you arrive early. The first batch is sold- closed and the second batch now deliver on or before September 17 when the second batch out of stock, it may take months for it to be back in stock, and you will have to wait much longer:. Hope it helps)
