What should I get her for Christmas ?
Alright. I have a girlfriend. I feel that's she is the one and I always want to give her everything. I got her a new stereo for her car. And took classes to learn so I could make it special and install it myself. I got her some jewelry and she's very generous to me. Its Christmas time and I bought her a iPod 4 touch. We are currently in a long distance relationship and that makes it so we can FaceTime being that I have iPhone 4. I am debating for Christmas what to get her. I noticed she reads very often and I wanted to get her the kindle or the nook. Or the iPad. And now the new nook color has came out. People always complain. But I just don't know what to go with. I dont mind spending $250. I don't want to spend $500 to get an iPad if she already has an iPod. So I wanted to get the nook. Cause I heard it was the best. Or forget everything and get her clothes or more jewelry. I just don't know. Can someone please help me:( thanks so much
Good choice there on Nook Color, it's the hottest gift on the market right now because it's a first in class of hybrid devices that combine the better parts of both eReader/tablet worlds.
You should understand the limitations of e-Ink eReaders - they are limited to be black & white for now and they cannot handle videos, they "blink" at each ebook’s page turn.
You should understand the limitations of iPad as it doesn't have USB port and it's screen is highly reflective and is very bad for reading/viewing in many lighting conditions.
Nook Color from Barnes & Noble has USB port (unlike iPad) and has a new generation of a screen which is anti-glare coated and is better performing in sunlight and for reducing eye strain than iPad's. The screen is one of the best and sharpest on the market and it's viewable at wide angles. It is great for PDF's, much better than Kindle. From the cost side, you can buy two Nook Color's for the price of one iPad.
