What age group is Les Miserables appropriate for?

I'm 16 and I really like reading classics. I've read Bram Stokers Dracula, Interview with a Vampire, Anne of Green Gables, Wuthering Heights, also the whole Twilight Saga, as well as books like Three Cups of Tea and Eat Pray Love (although they are not classics I'm aware). I just got a Kindle and I mean c'mon .. the book is free. I've seen the musical and everything. Now I just want to read it. The thing is though, will it be bone dry and in old English? I'm an avid reader but I'm just curious.

Thanks in advance!

I'd say about 13.
