iPad: Kindle Killer?
Is IPAD kill the Kindle as a device? Will Kindle only continue to exist as an application on IPAD? Or IPAD prove that avid readers have been looking for? The devices are so radically different from each other, they are even not in competition?
There are some important differences between the two devices, the main one being the price. Currently, a 2 Kindle was sold to 259 $ U.S., and an entry-level iPad (Wi-Fi only, 16 GB) for $ 499. If you're in the market for an e-reader and the money is not an object, you still choose to have an iPad on the Kindle?
With both, there will be other costs - including purchase of books or subscriptions periodicals. With the IPAD, you will also pay for many applications, and depending on your model, 3G data plans too.
There are major differences between how the devices work, too. iPad have an LED backlit screen. This can be considered as a plus in a situation of low light, backlight, however, is also linked to eyestrain after long periods. In addition, LED screens as it consumes much more power, so battery life between charges is a problem. A Kindle with the e-Ink screen is much easier to the eye, and functions very well, even in bright, direct sunlight. A disadvantage of e-Ink screen is that you have another source to read, but this should not be a big deal - after all, we read books this way over 500 years!
Autonomy Battery is a phenomenal Kindle 2, unless you leave the 3G wireless all the time. With the wireless turned off, a Kindle is normally used for at least one week between charges, depending on use. Obviously IPAD can not approach - the standard seems to be about 10 hours between charges, depending on use.
Weight and size could be a problem for some buyers, the Kindle 2 is much lighter and smaller than the IPAD, which means that is easier to use for long periods and transported. The Kindle weighs 10.2 reported two ounces to 1.5 pounds for the iPad model onlly WFi, and 1.6 pounds Sterling WiFi and 3G models. This is a significant difference, and could be problematic for some people.
IPAD is a lot Kindle can not do, such as multimedia. We're all familiar with the reading of magazines and have many color photos or other illustrations in the article, and with a iPad you still get the experience. Kindle books and articles do have many beautiful illustrations grayscale, but this is not the same thing. Quite a difference, and there is more: with IPAD, you also have links maps that lead to more information, websites, videos, songs and more! It is truly revolutionary, and very different experience Reading that you have with a Kindle. It is difficult to explain the difference - a Kindle is designed primarily for reading text, an iPad is designed to be media device. It's like the difference between a film in black and white and color, 3D, surround sound film. You still enjoy the plot, but how you see, is very different.
Both devices let you add and listen to your MP3 music files, but the Kindle does not allow you to organize your songs in the playlists (or even see a list of files). IPAD, with its iTunes link is obviously. Avid readers, but usually tune out distractions like music, and probably do not really care about this feature during playback.
There are more differences, we can explore in future articles, but one thing is true of both the IPAD and the Kindle 2, they will need protection against the ravages of everyday life. Add a vinyl skin to great-looking two or iPad your Kindle, you will be adding style and individuality, and protection cons scratches at the same time. Get yours today www.videogame-skins.com and enjoy your e-reader, without worrying about scratching the case.

How it is likely that Amazon will improve their web browsing turn soon?
I read all the news articles more than books. The backlit LCD screen on my computer hurt after looking all day. I think that is IPAD too distracting and a reading device because of its horrible lighting. The Barnes and Nobles e-reader has a glare. I use e-ink tablet to read books / publications, but none exists that provides a good browsing experience. I do not need audio or Flash, but it would well if the Kindle had HTML and Java. I like black and white tablets glare w o / and im not ever enter any personal information. in it except my wifi password.
The new Kindle has already improved Web browser, it has a webkit-based browser that can display text main web page. He can still improve in the future by software update (like the one below), but no one can predict that those who are very sensitive information to competitors. http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http% 3A% 2F%%%%% 2Fwww.amazon.com 2Fgp 2Fhelp 2Fcustomer 2Fdisplay. html 3Fie%%%% 3DUTF8 26nodeId 26ref_%% 3D200324680 & tag = 3Dhp_krec_su Elec-m-20 & linkCode = UR2 = 1789 & camp = 390957 & Creative You can actually go to many websites, only for websites that requires interaction, the Kindle can not handle it very well. And since the 3G is available on the Kindle, do not expect it to function as the browser on our computer, otherwise Amazon will not be able to pay the transportation costs. At least for I can use the browser for information retrieval, mail, google maps, etc., and I'm much happier. And as you know, Amazon has announced new models of Kindle reader (mine's Kindle 2, and now it is improving the Kindle 3 and priced the same). I mentioned much about the new Kindle, which model to choose and where to get free books in another answer here: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100730192050AAMa0pH Hope it helps:)
