Get Your News Faster and Help the Planet With a Wireless Reading Device
The day just does not start until you get your paper in your hands and digest the daily news of the day. However, we don't always have the time to pick up the paper and it would be nice if there was a way to get a copy of it that we didn't have to worry about leaving behind on our seat. The answer is here and it is in the form of a wireless reading device.
These are great new gadgets that will allow you to have various morning newspapers, magazines and books at the tip of your fingers whenever you want them. It takes the painful process of going to bookstores and waiting in lines out of the equation. Finding your favorite reading material has never been easier.
With these devices, you can download books in under a minute and have your favorite newspapers and magazines ready for you to read whenever you want. No more going to the store for a book or waiting for your newspaper delivery!
While having your reading at your fingertips is great, a wireless reading device has another great aspect and that is that it eliminates a lot of the paper you probably have laying around. Not only is this great for keeping your life less messy, it's also good for the environment as less paper is used!
The latest device to hit the market is the The Kindle. Amazon has introduced it to the world and it is flying off the shelves. With a $399 price tag, high expectations are abundant. The device is loaded with features and features monthly plans for both magazines and newspapers alike. You can also purchase books from them directly for $9.99 which is actually a pretty good deal since buying them at the store often costs more than that.
One of the earlier devices that started this craze was the RCA REB 1100. You may not be able to find it is stores right now, but there are plenty of them available in used condition. It is a great alternative if you just want to check out this gadgetry. You can usually find them for under $100.
One device that is sure to give the Kindle a run for its money is the Hanlin eReader V8. It is $100 cheaper than the Kindle, but still a pretty significant investment. However, it is also loaded with featured and normal battery life will allow you to enjoy about 300 pages or reading time. It is only a matter of time before the newsstand as we know it is extinct.
Now, if you are worried about these reading devices working in the sun or the glare from the screen, worry not. These devices use a new technology and the screen actually looks like paper. There is no glare like that which you would get from a computer screen. This makes for easy reading at home, in the car or even while sitting in the park on a sunny day.

BeBook (Hanlin) e-book reader?
Does anyone have any experience of the Bebook (actually Hanlin eReader) e-book reader?
Is it any good, worth the money? User experiences will also be appreciated.
Some people who have it, swear by it. It's well-liked, and I was quite undecided between it and my Sony Reader; I'm happy with my choice (the Sony PRS-505, because it was available at the moment I was offered money for it), but believe I would've been equally happy with the BeBook.
Mobileread's "Which One Should I Buy?" forum has plenty of info comparing different readers: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=123
And their Hanlin forum is a great place to read up on specific details of the Hanlin: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=-1&f=101
