is it right time for India to send the satellite onto the moon?
as we are yet to meet the basic needs like cent percent education,medical facilities in the nook and corner of india,green revolution,electrification,peace,employement,protection from natural and national calamities and improving stardard of living.

you have to get somethings very clear
if you look at the annual budget, money is alloted to various departments like defence, rural development, space research etc. i get your problem.
see the departments like rural dev., education, and all u have mentioned do get a lot of funds that are misutilized by politicians etc u know . this causes a hindrance in growth.
this has nothing to do with space research. if every dept does its work properly we wont ask such questions
coming to space programs-sending a satellite to moon establishes as a space power, an authority
we dont have to beg russia or france we are independent and brilliant and space research has enabled us to have remote sensing, satellite TV, weather prediction etc.
the core of this problem is not lack of funds but misutilization
