Asus Eee-Reader - Amazing Color Meets Dual Design
The Asus Eee-Reader is expected to introduce a touch of color and a ton of changes into the e-reader market. The Asus Color Eee-Reader, named after the Eee PC netbooks, also created by ASUSTeK Computer Inc. (ASUS), is expected to feature a full color touchscreen. Poised to make its probable debut at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 2010, Asus Color Eee-Reader should make a big splash in the e-reader market. Yet its amazing color, in contrast to the standard black and white, is not the only bright spot in the Asus Color Eee-reader. The device allows readers to enjoy a book - anywhere, anytime - surrounded by glorious color and divine design in a modern device with maximum function.
With its dual panels and hinged spine, this innovative device reads like a book and looks like a book but acts like a computer. Users will be able to read an e-book by 'turning' the pages with the touchscreen. Add in an affordable price, and all in all, the Asus Eee-Reader will be an amazing addition to the eBook Readers market.
The layout of the Asus Eee-Reader is expected to be more complex than in other leading e-readers. With its LCD-sized display and thin form, this device can be flipped in an A4 orientation. The dual panels create a widescreen effect (perfect for video) without compromising the function of either screen.
The two screens offer a flexible working space in which users can adjust the size of the virtual keyboard and touchpad to suit their usage. Students can read reference material on one screen and browse the web using the additional panel. Social network members can check their updates on one panel while browsing through an e-book on the second screen.
Sporting a speaker, webcam, and microphone, while allowing users to make Skype calls, the Asus Eee-Reader offers every convenience. Yet this innovative reader may be an inexpensive choice. ASUS is expected to release two separate versions - a budget model and a premium device with extra features. The budget e-reader is expected to sell in the $165 US/£100 range while the premium model will have a higher purchase price. Therefore it can successfully compete with Cool-er eBook Reader, appearing in March 2009. As it was noted in the article "Cool-er: Intuitive Marketing or Blatant Copying", Cool-er was born as the lightest and smallest e-reader on the market, and also the most affordable, and in eight bright colours.
ASUS has come through previously for their customers with low prices for computers. Already described as possibly "the world's cheapest e-reader," Asus Eee-Reader is touted as being the next groundbreaking device with the most value for the least cost. Oddly enough, what makes Asus Eee-Reader stand out is what makes it blend in with the treasured, old-style reading experience. Its dual screens, one outstanding feature of Asus Eee-Reader, make it easier to read a modern e-book without compromising that 'real' book feeling.

Can I split the screen of my laptop HP G70?
I have a laptop HP G70, and I want to split the screen body so that I can: (a) position higher for better visibility, (b) hold in my hands as a ebook reader for vertical (Ctrl Alt ->) The screen is connected by a flexible cable between the antenna WiFi son, the son webcam and video cables. Is this a dream?
No, it's easy if you have the right tools. If you want to do some hardware modding (And it seems that you know how), then you will have no probs. But you should keep in mind that some parts may be exposed to the elements. So you can either have to cover when you go outside, or attach manually guard / plate of some sort to keep covered. So yes, if you want to do, then by all means go ahead! It may void the warranty if (Not sure) but it seems you will have no dramas with the repairs!
