Electronic Book Reader

Many ways have been explored in regards to making reading better and more convenient. Once again, prominent online book retailer Amazon has stepped up. It has brought us an innovative Electronic Book Reader with extraordinary features as compared to the conventional way of reading books and other media. The most ingenious thing about it is the way the reading content can be acquired and loaded. If you want to Buy eBook Reader, ask no further Where Can I Buy Kindle 2.

The Kindle Electronic Book Reader is engineered to download blogs, books, newspapers, and magazines. Periodicals are automatically sent to the device. Technology has afforded us with a very practical alternative to holding a book, magazine or other reading material and turning from one page to another. The Amazon Kindle is indeed powerful and is only surpassed by its successor the Kindle 2.

The Kindle Electronic Book Reader does not require a PC for internet access. It operates on a 3G network similar to those used by cell phones. To buy eBook reader content, you only have to simply activate the exclusive Amazon Whispernet. Cross-device syncing is also automatic. It's like internet connection but not restricted to Wi-Fi 'hotspots'. Furthermore, the bill of this wireless feature is footed by Amazon so there won't be any fuss over service plan, contract or monthly bills.

Whispernet is Kindle's dedicated wireless network. It carries the delivery system of its e-books and other reading materials. The service is practically instant. Within a minute of placing order, users can be reading away. The first few pages of the books are also available for sampling before deciding to buy.If you are asking Where Can I Buy Kindle 2, this wireless feature is currently not available outside the country but it shouldn't be for long as the Kindle is meant for traveling.

Physically, the Kindle Portable eBook Reader boasts a crisp black-and-white screen that makes it very close in appearance and readability to printed paper. The print is displayed through E-ink technology which interacts with light in much the same way as ink on paper does. There is no backlighting. Thus, reading would not be hard in bright sunlight and the screen never becomes hot, meaning you can continue reading as long as you wish.

Furthermore, Whispernet makes use of Amazon's optimized technology plus Sprint's national high-speed (EVDO) data network for users to wirelessly search, download, synch and read content. The maiden Kindle has been further enhanced into the Kindle 2. By seriously considering user feedback on the original Kindle, Amazon is gratefully able to come up with an even more impressive wireless reading device for its readers now.

About the Author

Does anyone remember microfiche...?

Does anyone remember using microfiche; that archaic cataloging system? Are these things practical at all today? Do libraries still use them for newspaper articles, like in the movies, from way back when?

I had a job in high-school that was stuck in the Stone Age. It was a boat marine business. They used a microfiche to look up and order the parts they needed.

The job I currently work at is a 100+ yr old state institution and they're shutting down. I was looking at some of their electronic gadgetry that they're throwing out and I saw a microfiche reader. I got to wondering if anybody on here would remember them.

Whoever has the most interesting story to recant of a microfiche reader will get BA.
I hope I don't get any haters for posting in this category but it really was the closest one for this question.

Hi, yes I do. In fact when i worked for Customs and Excise I spent a while working in the Microfilm department, where we used to film the documents and put them onto microfilm to use with the fiche.
