How do I build a PC remote control device from scratch and write software for use. Net 2005? Any ebook?
I need to make my own remote control using infrared sensors and write my own software for Visual Studio. Net 2005. I know. Net and C # languages very well, but do not know how to start building my own equipment for remote and program it using Visual Studio. NET 2005, if I know that this can be done using VS.Net 2005 Compact Framework. Are there ary e-books or books that I can buy, which will guide me in the process of building my own equipment for the remote control device and e-books / books buy, which Wil guide me through the writing of software for remote control device using Visual Studio. NET?? Please suggest
Please provide details: Do you want to control the PC remotely, or if you want to use your PC perform remote control of other systems? Similarly, in respect of your infrared sensors, these sensors are contributing the PC, responding to IR signals from the PC, or both. You can get RS-232C equipped IR universal remote control smart, or visit the June 1993 issue of "Electronics Now" (since merged with Popular Electronics) interface circuit for my parallel an existing PC keyboard matrix of an off-the-shelf IR remote smart. Programming details will depend on what you are trying to implement. If you want to build your own receiver section from scratch, you'll need an IR LED granted to 880 nm, a pulse-stretcher, and a receiver (40KHz carrier typicall IR signals to consumers stlye). I say this with the management processor on board, as a PIC. Use the source code for the PIC programmer itself as the basis of a terminal program, or view the source code libraries available to the public for the code that you can integrate and interface via the serial port (I used to use the classic Maxim Max-232 chip to simplify the requirements multi-supply voltage of the RS-232C, you may find an easier way via USB - I'm a little out of date material for this purpose hackers. The parallel port is still there, is typically an EPP-style port Bitronics these days (so you will have at least 8 I / O lines instead of 8 and 5 on returns), but is not as easy to program as it was then DOS - at least if you want real performance. With Windows running, you get the best performance by coding a device driver, since the O / S has all the ports and summaries of material more - and pushes the peaks were so easy to fiddle with bits of hardware in my day, now much of it still works, but its summary or emulated, unless you create a device driver. There was once a very good parallel port bare-bones sample code device driver provided with the Windows DDK - Device Driver Kit, but who has been there many versions, check the Microsoft site to see what is in progress.
