The Amazon Kindle is not only the hottest ebook reader on the market today, but next to the iPhone one of the most popular electronic gadgets. At the time of this writing, it was out of stock for weeks and those who have placed orders for the Kindle will wait for several weeks to get it!
While the Kindle is definitely the market leader in the ebook market players, Apple is fast on its heels with the iPhone. Listening to music or watch your favorite movies to play games, you can do with the iPhone so why not read books on the device as well? This is what Apple seems to think anyway, and as a result is faster trying to give the Kindle a run for his money as an ebook reader.
Recently, it was announced that several major publishers have signed ScrollMotion agreements with a developer in New York mobile application. ScrollMotion is a new application for iPhone and iPod Touch that will allow consumers to buy and read electronic versions of new release and bestsellers. This last application is directly into Apple iPhone business ebook in a big way.
Despite Apple's ambitions, there are two main differences that should favor the Kindle (at least for now) as strictly ebook reader. The first obvious difference is the size of the screen. Try reading a chapter of your favorite book on a 3.5 inch screen, the size of the display on the iPhone, and you'll probably crazy. Compare that to the Kindle six inches diagonally and there is no comparison in comfort reading.
The other main difference between these devices is the technology that is used in the displays themselves. The Kindle uses technology e-Ink to display text while the iPhone works as a computer screen where the light is emitted to display text. The difference between these technologies is dramatic. When you read the text on the Kindle, it looks like text on paper and there is virtually no eyestrain, even after sessions Reading long. With the iPhone, reading the text is much like reading your computer screen (on a much smaller scale) and will surely strain your eyes.
When you compare these units side by side as ebook readers strictly, the large screen and display technology easily supports the Amazon Kindle. There are two things in favor of Apple, however, that could outweigh the success of the Kindle. The first iPhone being the availability and price, and the second being the convenience of being able to do everything with a device small. The iPhone is readily available and less expensive than the Kindle. In terms of screen size and potential eyestrain, consumers may be willing to make those sacrifices if it means they can use one device for all.
The ideal gadget would be the characteristics of the iPhone and the Kindle, but that never goes occur soon. I think in the end dedicated ebook readers like the Kindle will always be a leg on the communications and entertainment appliances like the iPhone. This does not mean Apple is out of the game Who knows, maybe the Apple "iReader" be just around the corner?

4 iPhone, Blackberry Bold or iPad ???!?
I currently have an iPod Touch 2G, which I never use to listen to music, but not for Twitter and surf the web. The small screen is pretty annoying sometimes this is why I want an iPad, in addition, it is an "iPod Touch huge ebook + reader "in one, which is like a dream for me. But I also need a new phone. Because I use Twitter much and I wanted some friends BBM, the BlackBerry Bold looked attractive, I like a physical keyboard. However the iPhone 4 seems so amazing, everything about it I LOVE. And I'm perfectly fine with touchscreen keyboards. So who should I do? Thank you. (No suggestions for other products please respect I said) I forgot to say I do not have much text or send emails and that's all the Blackberry Bold is really good for.
