Digital / analog converters?
We have DirectTV satellite service. We got 3 years ago. The boxes on our televisions are D10-300. There are no markings on the box itself that says digital. The instruction manual says "This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device ... "but goes on to say that it offers reasonable protection against harmful interference ... nothing to convert analog television sets for our elders. Our Tivo box is definitely digital, but what about the regular boxes on other TVs in the house? From what I read www.dtv.gov, it seems that we do not need to get a converter, but I just want to be sure. I did not know they gave coupons for $ 40 since January, and I want to make sure we get ours before running out if we need.
The only people who need a digital antenna are those using the database. DirecTV is digital but time, so you do not have to worry about it. If you have basic cable or satellite, the conversion will not affect you at all.
