What is the title of this old computer book?
I'm looking for the title and author of a book on computing and possibly artificial intelligence and cybernetics I read a long time ago and later lost. I know the book was published between 1975 and 1985, most likely between 1978 to 1982.
The book had an excellent early chapter introducing the reader to binary computing systems.
I believe the author was British or Australian. However, I don't think he is Michael Arbub (Computers and the Cybernetic Society) because the paperback edition I had was less then 250 pages.
I clearly recall the book cover. It was black with the classic "thinking man" statue colored like a rainbow, like a digital work of art.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
