What's the best e-reader for the Bible?
Looking at getting my dad an ebook reader, but he's extremely picky about his bibles. He's been using the same tiny print bible for years and years, but his sight is starting to go.
He would hate reading anything on an LCD screen. The e-ink readers are perfect though, since the text size is adjustable and, in my opinion, easier to read than traditional paper. Especially traditional bible paper, where you can see the words on the other side of the page.
I have a Sony pocket e-book reader, which I love. But this would be terrible for the bible, as you can't perform searches.
Would something like the Kindle be good for bible studies, where he's comparing verses and looking up different chapters in different books of the bible each day? Would be great if there were a way to ad notes too.
A dedicated bible reader wouldn't be out of the question, but it would have to be an e-ink display.

Just my two cents. With the Kindle you CAN do searches. You can also jump verse to verse, but it's a bit tedious since you have to go back to the Table of Contents, then click on the book and chapter (make sure he buys a Bible with the table of contents enabled, amazingly not all of them are). You can bookmark of course and you can take notes, but you do eventually run out of space from what others have said (I don't know i've never had this happen). The problem is when you run out of space it doesn't warn you, it just stops saving. So that could be a problem. I honestly think he'd be much better off keeping his notes however it is he keeps them these days.
