need help with creating inspirational office for writing?
Ok, so I have this room that is a little too big for an office but I would like to make it into MY personal writing room. I have been trying to find paint colors that inspire writers on the net and have virtually come up with nothing. Can anyone please tell me how to create a good writers nook?
Wall color, furniture, pictures, music. The only thing I read about in a book was that you needed a door for privacy and no windows that would cause distractions or if it has windows to cover them with dark curtains. I did not get much out of that. When I write at work (I know it sounds weird, but I can actually write at my job) All suggestions are appreciated 
What you need to do is to discover what inspires YOU, not what inspires other writers. I've written two (self-published) novels and am currently writing the third in my trilogy. I live in an apartment, and my computer is in the kitchen; therefore, I can not create an inspirational ambience in which to write, but I write anyway because that is my passion! When I in the process of creating my story, I tend to think of my plot constantly when I'm not writing -- when I'm working or walking, whatever. My inspiration comes from within, but that's just me; I'm not like anyone else, and neither are you. Your idea is to produce a writing room where you can be inspired. Take some time to think about it. What WOULD inspire you? What sort of color scheme would be conducive to affecting your writing positively. My stories are esoteric tales of Atlantis, and I do have a room divider on which are displayed my "magical" possessions, so I suppose I might consider those inspirational. Decide what type or genre you wish to produce initially and include those objects which will remind you of the course you are pursuing. You would certainly want a restful decor, I would think, therefore employing colors and furniture that serve that function. Create a place uniquely yours where you will want to spend considerable time; if it is designed strictly for writing, then you should be inspired to write! Good luck!
