A Review of eReaders Reveals Interesting Information
A recent review of eReaders by an internet product reviewer has brought up some revealing points. Don Lombardi, an internet product reviewer conducted his study on line last week or eReaders. More information on his study can be found on his website.
Lombardi found that E-readers have been growing in popularity since the emergence of the e-reader around 2006 from Sony. More and more versions of eBook readers/electronic readers or simply put- eReaders are coming on the market every day. An e-reader is an electronic reading device that is used to display electronic books. A Personal Data Assistant (PDA) can also display text on a screen and, in theory, can be used to display e-Books, but does not have the benefit of the electronic ink display like a true e-reader.
He noted that eReaders are very compact, most having a 5 to 6-inch display. Some of the many benefits of eReaders over hard copy books are that one eBook reader with several books installed is much more convenient to carry with you than the actual book in printed format. Most eReaders have the capacity to hold hundreds of books. He further discovered that a collection of eBooks does not require storage space. Lombardi stated, "There is no need to fill a room full of bookshelves." You can adjust the style of font and the font size to anything that makes reading easier for you. Depending on which device you have, an eReader can be easily read in low light or even in the dark. Depending on the model of eReader, eBooks can be converted to audio books. Of special interest was the fact that "When you turn on your eReader, it can open to the last page read of the book you were reading." Also, Lombardi went on to explain that "You can highlight or annotate an eBook in a manner that does not permanently alter it." You can download eBooks to eBook readers so that you do not have to carry the eBook with you as well. One final point made by Lombardi was that an eBook will not go out of print.
He found that the Amazon Kindle is the hottest product for 2010!

What is the best ereader device to read pdf and word files?
I am looking to buy a device reader, but I am a little worried about the pdf files. In kindle is too much work, I was wondering if someone could give me a good advice.
The Amazon Kindle 2 can now read PDF files natively. You can copy PDF files directly to it from computer, and read on the Kindle.
I love my Kindle very much. I remember I read these reviews when I decided to get my Kindle:

Finally, in case you don't know, Amazon has put a price slash on the Kindle 2 just before Christmas, and it is now selling $100 cheaper than the price I got my Kindle, and it adds in international wireless access and native PDF support... So take the chance if you want it.
Hope it helps
