My Augen The Book eReader is frozen what do i do?
I have a Augen eReader " the Book " and it is stuck on the main screen and wont let me do anything! I already tried turning it off with the power button and it turned off but when i turn it back on it is sill frozen! Please Help!
Take a paper clip and press the reset on the back of the unit.
I have not experienced your problem, but I am hoping that doing the reset will unfreeze the unit for you.
Another thing that I have noticed is that a short press of the on/off button does turn the screen off, but does not turn the unit off completely. So, when you turn it back on it comes up to where you left off almost instantly, rather than going through a full reboot cycle. You need to reboot to unfreeze the unit.
You can try holding the off button for about 3-5 seconds to fully power down. Then when you power up, you will see the Augen splash screen as it boots up.
Hopefully either of the above will unfreeze your unit. If not, contact their tech support as you may have a more serious hardware issue.
